KOTA KINABALU: Sabah's oddball political scenario took another twist when a party-less Barisan Nasional member joined coalition party leaders' meeting to deliberate on who would be the candidate for the Batu Sapi by election on Nov 4.
Deputy Chief Minister Peter Pang who sat beside fellow deputy chief minister and Parti Bersatu Sabah leader Joseph Pairin Kitingan, raised eyebrows when he joined the meeting.
Pang, the Karamunting assemblyman which falls within the Batu Sapi constituency, fell out with his former party, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) after it said it could no longer work with Chief Minister Musa.
Pang left LDP to become an independent BN member and is currently in search of a party.
